Corporate Rentals is a furniture rental company located in Columbia, MD that uses a streamlined, patented process that facilitates the rental of furniture through property management firms. Central to Corporate RentalsŐ success is their ability to offer contracted property management firms a customized, re-branded version of the main Corporate Rentals site - a customer renting furniture from the property management company never knows of the strategic relationship the company has with CR.
During Corporate Rentals most recent website upgrade process, I was called in when their previous vender was unable to produce the necessary results. On an accelerated development timeline, I rebuilt the Corporate Rentals main website to better present their products while simultaneously making the site more easily maintained by the Corporate Rentals staff.
The Corporate Rentals sites feature both public and private sections. The public sections allow anyone to see the products and services offered by Corporate Rentals, however, only visitors coming from registered locations are able to view pricing information and place orders.
All CR sites are driven by a Microsoft Access database that contains the content for the pages making future updates easier. The site also features a password protected control panel that allows Corporate Rentals staff to add registered locations and change product information.
